We're back on!

Unless something else comes up to cause us to postpone yet again, I am planning for a trip to Japan in spring!  Two years later than originally planned but better late than never!

My brother has said he's still interested in coming as has an aunt of mine who lives in Sydney, Australia. She thinks that her daughter, my cousin whom I've not seen in at least 15 years, would also be interested. So we potentially have a group of four going. Will be a lot of fun as we all get along really well.

This time though I think we will do the trip in the reverse route so we have a higher chance of seeing the cherry blossoms and enjoy the Takayama Sanno Matsuri towards the end of the trip rather than in the beginning.  I did learn some lessons from my original planning and the silver lining to the cloud is I have a chance to make some corrections.  Hopefully, I have more advance time to book the ryokan in Takayama.  Last time around, I was about a month late.

At the moment, I'm still finalizing my travelogue for our recent trip to Sri Lanka so planning for this trip won't begin in earnest for at least a couple of months and it won't take as much work since most of the leg work has already been done. I will have to figure out all the accommodations and that will take time to arrange.

Planning aside, I'm keeping all my fingers and toes crossed that there won't be anything else to derail us from going!
